About Blake Stitching:
Blake sole construction was designed in 1856 by the American sowing machine inventor Lyman Reed Blake. A single row of stylish chain stitching runs through the sole into the upper. Blake construction has become one of the more recognized and superior construction methods, even though most of its work is hidden under the foot.
